From its 11 hectares of vineyards close to the Abbey of Pomposa, the "Azienda Agricola Corte Madonnina" farm produces Bosco Eliceo D.O.C. [Controlled Denomination of Origin] wines such as
Fortana, Merlot, Sauvignon and Bianco del bosco.
They are piquant fruity wines, particularly harmonious and fragrant if drunk when young, intense and full-bodied when aged in oaken casks.
Owned by the Scalambra family, the "Azienda Agricola Corte Madonnina" farm also produces corn and wheat, sugar beats, tomatos.
The farm has a large park with native trees (8 hectares), a park (4 hectares) of trees for producing fine wood (walnut, oak, ash, elm) and an orchard of 1 hectare for producing traditional varieties of fruit (apples, pears, plums, cherries and sour black cherries).
It also offers an agri-tourism catering service with typical Ferrara cuisine (hand-made pasta) and the sale of typical
products (salami, cheese and rice).
